We don’t have to have an answer

For why things seem to happen as they do

Why her?

Why him?

Why not that?

Why not them?

“Ours not to reason why, ours but to do or die”*

When we listen to the teachings of the seven grandfathers

We come closer to letting go

Of everything we thought we knew

We release control and begin to grow

From the roots skyward

Growth that begins at the top

Never ever ripens

For there is nothing to sustain life

That is not rooted

In the truth.

The truth is in nature

The nature of the beast.

* Quote from The Charge of the Light Brigade by Lord Alfred Tennyson
